The Sony A7iii is a full frame mirrorless camera and one that many street photographers may pass off as oversized and overpriced. But the the advantages of shooting street photography with this camera far outweigh these objections, especially if you’re in the market for a main camera to shoot professionally.

But I admit, there are times when on holiday or even when I'm out shooting street photography when I wish I had a tiny point-and-shoot camera that I didn't have to fuss over. A camera that didn't require extra lenses and accessories -- and the goddamned bag that's always required to fit it all into. Sometimes I want to just walk out the door (or step aboard that flight to another time zone) and tuck a camera into my pocket and forget about it. Like my phone. This brings up my first gripe.

The focus hold button has been the obvious choice for Eye AF in the past. But with the introduction of Sony's continuous Eye AF in 2019, it's become mostly irrelevant.

There's an aperture priority mode which was introduced in the third iteration of full-frame Sonys. This super aperture priority mode really takes this semi-automatic mode to the next level. It's also a must if you shoot street photography. Here's a quick set-up guide.
